Skin Kitchen

I am a skincare addict. As soon as the topic of skincare comes up I will talk until it's no longer socially acceptable. When it comes to beauty, there's nothing more important than the canvas you are working with. If your skin is healthy and happy, your makeup will apply and last a gazillion times better. No makeup will ever magically erase abused skin. Below I share with you some of my all time favourites for every skin type (going from left to right in the images above).

Alpha-H Protection Plus Daily SPF50+ Broad Spectrum Cream

This is my daily SPF. Now, you don't need another beauty blogger to nag at you about wearing SPF daily so I'm just going to tell you about the product. It absorbs into the skin super fast and is pretty long-wearing without being greasy. I mix this with my daily moisturiser. I find that at the end of the day my makeup does separate a little though. It has a pleasant nutty smell.

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

This stuff smells divine! It's a bit too thick for summer but perfect for winter! An all-rounder that would work with most skin types. I like to use this when I'm travelling because it comes in a handy little size (with the Divine Face Oil - will get to this later). This moisturiser doesn't have SPF in it so you can definitely use it at night as well!

Antipodes Divine Face Oil Avocado Oil & Rosehip

I love mixing this serum with my night moisturiser. My skin loves to drink this up - it leaves my skin feeling silky and plump. A little goes a long way with this little guy. I use around 1 drop every night.

Lavanila Vanilla Lavender Solid Stick

At first I did not like this at all. It's in a stick form and in winter it can leave white flakes under your arms. After giving it a few more tries I now love it! It smells like soap. Clean and fresh. To avoid underarm dandruff let your pits warm the product up a bit before you use it. Sounds weird but totally works.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

The best exfoliator ever and ever. This stuff is da bomb. Every time I use it I feel like I'm about to sniff cocaine. It's in a white powder form and you're supposed to mix it with water to turn it into a paste. I don't recommend travelling with this - especially if you're planning to tip the product into a zip lock bag. Could get awkward...

Dermalogica Precleanse

When I have a full face of makeup I remove it with Precleanse. A perfect partner for any double cleanse routine, it dissolves all makeup and washes off completely. Zero oily residue. It does dry my skin out a little, I usually prefer to properly wash my face hours after I've removed my makeup but with the Precleanse I have to complete my facial routine right down to moisturiser.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque

Skin paramedic. When my face reaps havoc I pull this little guy out. He helps soothe my face and give a little life back to my dull skin. I use this overnight and wake up with baby skin.

Dermalogica AGEsmart Skinperfect Primer

Primer that's good for your skin? Yep. This primer has a physical sunscreen and has hydrating properties. It works amazingly as a primer but also works in your skin's favour. Does contain silicon - sensitive gals be warned!

All of these products are available at Skincarestore.com.au and they are currently running a promotion! Right now, if you spend $100 you get $20 off! Just use CHIC20 at the checkout.
