Book of Deer

So one day, I decided to succumb to my narcissism and Googled my own name with my blog. To my surprise, Google didn't just hit me up with pages on horse breeders and a new brand of soy sauce - instead, it came up with this.

A very long time ago I blogged about my latest covet of indie-printed shirts and somehow they found the blog post and reblogged me in their press section. I was even referred to as the "Jack Russell-loving Sophia".

I think I've made it. Ha!

Thank you Book of Deer for referring to me as press - I'm extremely flattered.
And yes, I am still ardently in love with your prints. Keep up the good work Eilidh Ho, and please have Australian stockists!

Above is the Autumn/Winter Collection Selkie and Sea.
The cruise ship skirt made me squeal.

Book of Deer is the creative child of Eilidh Ho - a Chinese Scottish halfie babe born in Edinburgh and raised in Hong Kong. Book of Deer was established in 2012 and is named after the oldest manuscript in Scotland. The style ethos is to "evoke narratives in detailing and conjuring our daydreams in prints," according to Eilidh. The whimsical prints found on her pieces are all hand-drawn, digitally printed and innately irresistible.

"Book of Deer designs for the quietly iconoclastic girl with an active imagination, spinning a tale into every garment and encouraging the wearer to keep her head in the clouds." - Eilidh Ho.
