Flicking through the pages of Lula, I stumbled upon a page filled with illustrations of insects. A few more pages on, I was delighted with the classic beauty Stephanie LaCava. Often mistaken for an adorable superhuman, Stephanie's story is one of quirky childhood nostalgia. Her latest book, a memoir called An Extraordinary Theory of Objects recites her fundamental years amongst the romance of Paris - floating past busy cafes in the morning and taking whiffs of freshly baked baguette.

No, I haven't read it yet. But it's on its way. As soon as it lands on my desk, there is time for nothing else.
Anyways, to proceed, after discovering her in Lula I conducted a mini internet-stalk. Turns out, Stephanie is so much more. She is not just an author - a journalist, fashion celeb, blogger and and collector of curiosities, Stephanie spends her time chilling in a gifted pool of all-time perfection.
Stephanie began her career at Vogue - and enviously in the fashion department. Later moving on to features, her time at the glossy world saw stories published in Vogue, The Paris Review, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Interview and Garage. Phew, that was a mouthful of regurgitated information!
Her style is minimalist with an injection of vintage Paris - LaCava is regularly exalted in the fashion world. Street photographers and bloggers love snapping this classy lady.
Fluent in both French and English, Miss LaCava is a girl crush that I should have discovered sooner!
Stephanie lives here and blogs here.
