Hello Neglect!

Life is so incredibly busy right now, like always. It's only going to get worse, but I'm ok with that, because it's the kind of business that leads to somewhere. I've been presented with so many opportunities lately! God's been so good! I start a week of work experience with Shop Til You Drop tomorrow and I will be interning for a publishing house alongside my studies this semester! Life is finally going somewhere and I no longer feel like that girl who's been left behind because she chose to sip coffee for a degree...

Haha, I kid. Arts was amazing. Here are some pictures taken by my new baby: my Canon 600D. I'm loving it so much! It takes amazing shots and I've been blessed with so many SLR enthusiasts around me who are willing to teach me all the bits and bobs of my camera! I spent the last few days of my freedom road-tripping to Newcastle with Caleb and I am still feeling that lingering nostalgia for a place that was so foundational to my growth. I miss the pace of Newcastle: the chilled surfers and the looming smell of hot chips in the air.

The second series of photos are from an amazing trip to Nelson Bay with an amazing bunch of people. Never in my life have I ever felt as adventurous as I did when I was sitting in a 4WD stuck on the tip of a steep sanddune. Oh yeah, and the 4WD also went for a bit of a swim in a puddle that turned out to be a river. Nice.

That is all for the moment. I promise to share all my encounters with Australian fashion magazines!

Sophia.
