MBFWA Day 1

Oh what a day! I have a blister for every toe on my feet and a battery-less iPhone. What an amazing adventure and there's still 4 more days to come! Upon arrival at Carriageworks I was astounded by just how thin stilettos are nowadays. Even more death-defying - the plastic stiletto heel! My humble admiration goes out to all the limping long legs out there, I hope to never experience that.

Highlights of the day include going backstage to Bec & Bridge, Roopa Pemmaraju, and Alex Perry. It was great to be a part of the buzzing craziness. The true characters of the fashion and beauty industry live backstage! A special shout out to Napoleon Perdis - thanks for teaching me how to contour!

More highlights include FLASHING A MEDIA PASS AT SECURITY GUARDS and rubbing shoulders with industry big names! I felt so legit. Sitting behind the entire Vogue fashion team and Edwina was amazing. I stared at the back of their heads for most of the show. By the way, I LOVE the old fashion notebooks in the front row! It's refreshing to see that there are non-apple-worshippers out there. 

To be completely honest, I did a little bit of stalking walking around. Sorry to all the Fellt bloggers that I followed. Nicole Warne, I tried so hard to get a subtle picture of your outfit but you were always surrounded by people! Oh well, four more days to succeed. 

Lowlights? Well, only one - DISGUSTING JUICE! In image 4 above, a model is drinking an organic bag of juice provided by their agency. Oh my goodness that stuff is disgusting. A daring friend had a sip and I sniffed it. Apparently it tastes like a mixture between vinegar and herbs. Yum. Models drink weird stuff to keep thin.
